Carillon of Mooresville to Host Grand Opening March 20

Mooresville Mayor Miles Atkins and other local leaders will be on hand for Carillon Assisted Living’s Grand Opening celebration on Thursday, March 20 from 2-4 p.m. The event will serve to welcome Mooresville and Lake Norman neighbors to Carillon, the area’s premier assisted living and Alzheimer’s care community for seniors.  The event will include music and entertainment, door prizes, food and more.

Carillon is Right at Home in Mooresville

Carillon Assisted Living of Mooresville will ultimately bring more than 60 jobs to the town of Mooresville. Located at 198 E. Waterlynn Road, the opening of Carillon’s newest senior community brings its statewide portfolio to 17 locations. The Triangle-based Carillon is North Carolina’s only locally owned and operated provider of licensed assisted living for seniors.

The newly opened community has already forged new partnerships with local organizations. Carillon of Mooresville has also served as a support system for families like Eric Blackwelder’s, who brought his mother, Kay, to live at Carillon of Mooresville last year.

Blackwelder describes his experience at Carillon of Mooresville: “I can’t wait to see what mom and her friends are doing. I feel so welcomed into that community. You have this idea of what an Alzheimer’s facility is going to be like, and you think: depressing. But Carillon of Mooresville is beautiful, happy, warm, and fun.”

Carillon of Mooresville Executive Director Richard Seifried says the surrounding community has welcomed Carillon with open arms, largely in response to Carillon’s commitment to quality care and high standards.

“What sets Carillon apart is that we recommit ourselves every day to being the home you would choose all over again for yourself or your loved one,” says Seifried, who has more than 20 years’ experience caring for families affected by Alzheimer’s. “We want to be a partner in your family’s life story, not just the provider of care.”

The March 20 Grand Opening Celebration is free and open to the public. Please call the community at 704-660-8000 to RSVP.  Carillon Assisted Living of Mooresville is still accepting reservations. Call or come by the community for lunch and a tour.
