Carillon Assisted Living To Host Third Annual Antique Extravaganza for 2016

Carillon 2016 Antique Extravaganza Appraisal Event September

Carillon’s 20 locations Welcome North Carolinians to Antique Appraisal Fairs Sept. 10 and 17

RALEIGH, NC – July 27, 2016 – Carillon Assisted Living will host their third Annual Antique Extravaganza event at all their senior living and Alzheimer’s care communities throughout North Carolina on September 10th or 17th from 1 pm to 4 pm. Fashioned after current popular antique appraisal fairs, Carillon’s annual event will give participants a chance to learn both the story and value of their treasured heirlooms and collectibles.

Antique experts, dealers and auctioneers will offer verbal evaluations on everything from period furnishings, art, porcelain, silver, glass and more. Participants are asked not to bring weapons, gems, gold, coins, stamps, sports memorabilia or any item they cannot personally carry.

“Whether it’s worth a lot of money or not, every antique has a story and every treasured piece is valuable to the person who owns it,” Richard B. Wisner, ISA CAPP, Certified Appraiser at Wisner Appraisal Services in Charlotte, North Carolina. “Carillon’s Antique Extravaganza is an educational way to learn about the historical value and current value of their personal treasures, and that is what makes this event so much fun.”

The Antique Extravaganza is one of Carillon’s signature annual events that raise funds for local charities and organizations in communities Carillon Assisted Living facilities are located. Carillon will donate 100 percent of the event proceeds to local charities and nonprofits including Wounded Warriors, Habitat for Humanity, Veterans Victory Garden, Humane Society and the YMCA. Admission is $10 per item when purchased in advance and $25 at the door the day of the event. Admission tickets will be available at all Carillon facilities and at the local charity partners. Call your local Carillon location for more information.

“The Antique Extravaganza is a wonderful and impactful philanthropic event Carillon is proud to host,” said Karen E. Moriarty, President & CEO of Carillon Assisted Living. “As appraisal participants learn the value and history behind their personal items, the funds raised go to charities that directly help create the future prosperity of communities Carillon serves.”

These signature fundraising events help Carillon fulfill its mission to be a trusted community partner everywhere that Carillon operates an assisted living and Alzheimer’s care community. As part of that mission, Carillon creates positive, engaging opportunities for seniors to continue learning, growing and staying connected to the world around them.
