It’s Beginning to Look Like a Victorian Christmas at Carillon!
The Raleigh-based Victorian Carolers have sung at the White House and the Governor’s mansion.
Carillon announced this week the company will again host the hugely popular Victorian Christmas celebrations at each of our 19 assisted senior living communities across North Carolina. The 2014 events will be held during the first two weeks of December, and like last year, will feature performances by nationally known Victorian caroling groups in full dress costume.
The Carillon Christmas Carol Concerts serve two major purposes — to honor our seniors by bringing family and friends into their home to celebrate the very traditions passed down by their generation; and to raise funds for local families and people in need through partnerships with community non-profit groups.
“I don’t know what I was expecting, but the way the carolers walked in and started singing so beautifully, it was just magical,” said Carillon of Hillsborough Executive Director Laurie Sawyer of last year’s event.
In addition to music and caroling, the events feature a hearty holiday spread including mulled cider, sausage balls, a variety of hors d’oeuvres, strawberry cake and plenty of sweet Christmas treats and candies for the kids.
