Carillon to Break Ground on Huntersville Community

Carillon’s newest senior community will break ground in February in the bustling north Charlotte suburb of Huntersville. Carillon Assisted Living of Huntersville will be Carillon’s 20th assisted living and Alzheimer’s care community when it opens in September 2015.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be attended by Huntersville Mayor Jill Swain, as well as members of the Board of Commissioners, town planning staff, civic and business leaders. The site is located at 250 Commerce Center Drive, near the Huntersville Post Office and Gilead Road.

The Huntersville community will serve seniors and families local to the southern shores of Lake Norman, an up-and-coming area that has seen record growth over the last several years. The town of Huntersville was in the news this week for its top 10 ranking on a statewide survey of North Carolina’s safest towns for families.

“Carillon is so pleased and proud to be coming to Huntersville,” said Carillon Vice-President Mary Ann Drummond. “Huntersville is such a vibrant community and enjoys a unique identity in the Charlotte Metro area. We look forward to playing an important role in the lives of Huntersville seniors and their families for many years to come.”

Just a short drive north of Huntersville is Carillon’s first Lake Norman area senior community, Carillon Assisted Living of Mooresville.
