From the President – January 2019

Carillon Assisted Living of Hendersonville hosted a Barbershop Quartet Concert on Saturday to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association of Western North Carolina. A local Hendersonville radio station, WTZQ, broadcasted from the event, and Carolina Blend, a barbershop quartet from the Palmetto Statesmen performed at the event.

The Hendersonville community enjoyed a great turnout at the event, and Carolina Blend entertained residents and guests with a performance of some barbershop classics, and the young son of one of the singers delighted everyone when he sang “It’s a Small World” while his dad played the guitar.

These fundraising events help Carillon fulfill its mission to be a trusted community partner. As part of that mission, Carillon creates opportunities for seniors to stay connected to the world around them – opportunities that enable older adults to keep growing, learning and making new connections of their own.
